★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Following a leisurely meander through the retail precinct of Commercial Bay, I was excited to discover Bluebell’s Cakery on the ground floor by Little Queen Street entrance. I enjoyed a large soy latte and took a banana salted caramel cupcake home.
The staff was super efficient and nice and the cafe bakery was absolutely delightful. This was a wonderful discovery made. Highly recommended!

It is not often that we find a small space cafe with old-world charm in a shopping mall. But there you have it.
BLUEBELLS CAKERY is a well-known establishment in Auckland with some of the best cupcakes in town. their new store in Commercial Bay mall is tucked away in a hidden corner, almost something you might miss on the way out. It is a pink-white oasis of delicious cakes, cupcakes and savoury delights, with great vegan options, warm drinks, delicious high tea. A tiny space, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, leaving Auckland CBD's hustle and bustle behind you. I just love this place:) mined you, there are very few tables for sitting down...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed with the services here. The server used her fingers to pick up the biscuit that fell off my cupcake and popped it back in. She acted as if I was being picky/awkward ( not sure if she was embarrassed I caught her out) after I asked her, politely, to change out the cupcake she had physically touched without gloves or tongs. She had been touching the touch screen and payment pad just moments before. Multiple servers use the same touch pad. Disappointed to see unsafe food hygiene practices, especially during covid times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I made a special effort to go into to town to go to this cakery. The cupcakes fully delivered especially the banana, the macaroons were dry and not chewy. The location is lovely. The server however was a young lady that seemed like I was in her way buying something. She was busy chatting with a young man when I came in around 3.30 friday 4/2/22. they looked like they had had a high tea booking as there were some tables covered with dishes and cake stands. She made me feel very unwelcome when I walked in as though I had interrupted her at home. Would not go back to location.

Nice crokery and tea cup, the tea itself was a reasonable brand, though limited selection...the food was a real let down. Definitely not worth what we paid: savoury tier was terrible: cold and dry. The macaroon was quite nice, though crumbly. Book somewhere else if you want a nice occasion that everyone enjoys.
