About Bowen Eye Clinic
Dr Reece Hall is a medical graduate from Otago University and completed his ophthalmology training in Wellington. During his training he was awarded the Sir Thauddeus McNaughton surgical prize. He has completed further training for two years overseas with Professor Graham Barrett in Perth on Cataract, Cornea and Refractive Surgery and with Professor Donald Tan in Singapore on Cornea and Refractive Surgery. He has over 10 years experience in Laser Eye Surgery (LASIK) and over 14 years experience with Cataract, Pterygium and Cornea Surgery. You are in safe hands with Dr Reece Hall.
Outside of work Dr Reece Hall enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling and fishing.

I looked into getting laser eye surgery as I had terrible eyesight and was getting extremely frustrated with wearing glasses. Initially, I was nervous but Dr. Hall and the team at Bowen Eye Clinic were so welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. The whole process was super fast and painless, the surgery took about 10 minutes! It has now been 1 month since the surgery and I am so glad to finally say I have 20/20 vision. This was the best decision I have ever made and I highly recommend it.

I'm totally delighted that I can see perfectly now without the hassle of having to find my glasses, it's so liberating. The procedure was so quick and it was uncomfortable rather than painful. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had laser eye surgery. Dr Hall is punctual with a laser technique second to none. Immaculately clean rooms. Absolutely no pain. World class post procedure service. Reception staff efficient. Small point.. reception could be more warm, make eye contact and be "present" to the customer, This helps calm the patients nerve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After wearing glasses for over 40 years to correct my short sightedness, my reading vision had also deteriorated and I had resigned myself to a life of progressives. I'd often thought about having my eyes laser corrected but always thought I wouldn't be eligible. But I finally took the plunge, made an appointment with Dr Reece Hall and discovered that I was! Dr Hall was awesome to deal with and he suggested I have Laser Blended Vision. The result has been life changing! I can see both long distance and am able to read without the need to wear glasses. It's amazing to wake up each morning and be able to see and not have to reach for my glasses on the bedside cabinet before getting up.
I'd highly recommend anyone wanting to get this done to make an appointment with Dr Hall. From the initial consultation, to the procedure itself, and the follow up appointments, he and his team were professional and made me feel very comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great experience with Bowen Eye Clinic. I got laser for both my eyes after being short sighted with astigmatism for 20 years.
From the get go the clinic made me feel comfortable and went through the process in detail with me, making sure any questions I had were answered.
On the day of my surgery I was in & out in 40 minutes and could see clearly within two hours. The staff were all amazing and made me feel completely relaxed throughout.
I’m overjoyed with the results and can only say I wish I’d done it sooner. I’ve had regular check ups since the surgery & would have no issue contacting them straight away if there were any issues.
If you’re thinking about getting laser, this team is awesome and I’d recommend them to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had been wearing glasses for 14 years and was at a point where I was sick of them. I had been looking at laser eye surgery for awhile but was unsure if I would qualify or how it worked exactly.
I had my initial consult with Dr Reece in Palmerston North and booked to have the LASIK procedure soon after in the Wellington rooms. Everyone was so kind and happy to answer any questions I had throughout the process. The procedure itself was so quick and painless and I could read street signs and car number plates an hour later! I was so amazed at how quickly my sight improved. The team in Wellington were amazing and Dr Reece is fantastic.
The aftercare has also been great with the regular check ups. Its so handy having the follow ups in Palmerston North too.
The only question I have now is why didn't I do this years ago! It is beyond amazing waking up and seeing everything so clearly.
I highly HIGHLY recommend Dr Reece and the Bowen Eye Clinic in Wellington!

The people at Bowen Eye Clinic were friendly and professional, particularly Dr Reece Hall. He is relaxed and calm which made me feel much more at ease.
The procedure is over and done incredibly quickly and with no fuss.
All of my follow-up appointments have been short and sweet with clear guidance.
