★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking down Onehunga Mall we came across the baked goods in the window which looked delicious so thug we'd try a few selections. These home baked goods were amazing. I had the egg custard tart freshly out of the oven soooooo good, the husband had the jam donut, the bread was tasty and light, we then shared a passion fruit vanilla cupcake it was so light and fluffy. If you're ever in town and want a delicious baked good try this place out ☺

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bread and Butter is one of New Zealand's finest bakeries. Without parallel in Auckland. This is a baking as an art; offered daily to the public. The Eccles cakes are miraculous. A friend described this treasure as Filipino Victoriana. You will be more than tempted. This is brilliant nostalgia baking at the highest level of delight. Wonderfully friendly staff. An Onehunga emblem to be cherished.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the outside, it looks similar to other bakeries but when you actually look at their products it is quite different. The outer window has plenty of cakes as does the counter across from the entrance. The other counter is full of interesting and tasty bread. I quite like their ube bread, soft bread and sweet ube filling. They also did have pies but I was there just for the bread.
Lots of traditional items like ensaymada and pan de sal. It was a nice stop to grab some afternoon snacks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a slice of their Ube Cake and the sponge was so dry. Makes me wonder how long it’s been sitting in their fridge for. I need to go back and try the other items but this isn’t a good start for $7.

*Brought these into the office Friday, after they were made fresh the day before. Still SOFT. Everyone loved them, calling them gorgeous! Thank you, Bread and Butter!
