★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a recent repair of my mother's wedding ring which turned into a disaster, followed by horrendous customer service, I will make sure nobody I know ever sets foot inside this business. Own your mistakes and remember the customer is always right! Questioning a customer about a ring they have worn every day for 40 years is outrageous! The lack of responsibility shown by the owner and staff was disgusting! The whole experience caused a great deal of distress!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ He's banned the mayor from his jewellery shop for being a lying misleading person, but he hasn't banned himself or his staff for being the same. I took a watch in to get a new battery and told to come back in 30mins and it would be ready, but after going back 3 times over a 2hour period still no battery in the watch and then told to come back in other hour, I lost the whole afternoon because of this jewellery shop and I still have no watch going and I now have to go to another jeweller to get a battery for the watch. The females prance around like they are there to help you but they have no customer service skills at all and maybe should just hide away out the back of the shop where they can't be seen. The time this shop cost me today was at least 2hours at a cost to me of $40. So Brent Weatherall Jeweller I believe you owe me $40 for lying and misleading me and wasting 2hours of my time today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible efficiency and polished, friendly service. I needed my watch battery changed and the one in the Meridian couldn't open my watch and were a bit rough with it.
Brent Weatherall Jeweller opened it in 2 seconds and got it wonderfully done in a jiffy. What a beautiful store. Will be back for all my watch, repairs, and jewelry needs!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went into the store to ask if I could resize my wedding ring. The staff member called me a midget. Then after giving me a quote and telling me it might cost more if the diamonds fall out, she said my suggestion of sizing down one size instead of two would be ‘stupid’. The owner came out soon after to a lot of people waiting for help and his reaction was, ‘talk about all at once, far out!’ As if he didn’t like that his store was so full of waiting customers. This business certainly has a very arrogant feeling about it. I felt small and belittled by the staff here. I went to Dunedin Goldsmiths and the service there was a full 180 from this shop. Very sad to see such a disrespectful and unprofessional staff no matter how skilled they might be at their job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These beautiful amazing people… just blew me away with their service. A previous jeweller that said he could resize our wedding rings … and didn’t, waited until the day I was meant to pick them up to tell me he didn’t want to ruin the design… so he did not touch them at all.
I completely freaked out. We were to be married 5 days later.
My uncles rang Brent and his team, I went in the next day… To say they were amazing would be an understatement, they heard me, they empathised, Brent came out and spent a good 15-20 minutes with me talking about everything, checking ring sizes and just making me feel completely at ease.
He said to not stress it would be fine, they rang me everyday to update me.
I’m just so grateful to this team of people, that helped me when I felt like everything was going to be a disaster.
The best jewellers ever, and I’ll never go anywhere else!

So grateful to them for helping me with my wedding jewelry - everything from helping us choose our wedding rings to changing pearl studs to drops to cleaning and repairing other jewelry, they were amazing. Could not recommend them more highly!
