★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely don’t go there hungry. Portions are very small, as opposed to the $$$$ plus sides. Took over an hour to be served with very few people seated. Two small 3-4mm slices off what would be a normal serving of pork belly is not sufficient. Not impressed at all albeit friendly service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were struggling to find a place for lunch on Easter Sunday given that we had no reservation and a dog- we had been rejected twice and thought a nice lunch would be out of the question. The Brewed As team took us no problems and were nothing but friendly to my dog. There were easily accessible water bowls too. They warned us there would be a long wait- there really wasn’t. And the food and coffee was just excellent (we had the grilled chicken).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great spot for delicious nutritious food and drinks made from top quality ingredients with lots of vegan, gluten free and keto options. Everything I tried was really tasty so you never have to feel like you're sacrificing good taste for your diet. Lots of creative unusual options on the menu, plus old favorites that will please everyone. Service was not the best when I was there but to be fair it was Queens Birthday weekend and they were really busy. Went back for dinner a few days later and had a lovely chat with the owners before they closed. They're lovely people with a passion for quality local products. Wish there were more cafes like this one and hope to visit again soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful vegan salad, didn't need the haloumi I added at all, would have been great on its own. Healthy, satisfying, delicious. Salted caramel almond slice was good, it was gf, vegan and refined sugar free, satisfying. Lemon honey was the bomb, I asked for a super strong one and was not dissapointed, was given extra lemon honey ginger syrup and hot water. Freindly staff.
Found a nice treat for myself at the crystal shop around the corner that closes at 1pm

Bulletproof is absolutely perfect! Breakfast, cocktails and dinner are wonderful! And the take away options are great too! Definitely a must if you head up to Mangawhai Heads ?
