β β β β β Where do I start in how great this place is..... We as a family first came in contact with Kate and her team at Busy Minds when we decided to enroll our first child back in 2016. From our first visit on the 4th May 2016 we knew that Busy Minds held the perfect environment for our then first child to develop and be nurtured, we now sit here 6 years later with our second child just about to leave on her journey to BIG School.
Both of our kids left Busy Minds confident and fully prepared to start school and that's fully thanks to the love and commitment shown by the team at this wonderful establishment.
We can only give the biggest praise and thanks to the likes of Kate, Tammy(Chef & Firefighter extraordinaire), Kate Marie, Nessie, Meagan, Chenae, Rebecca for being the best teachers and role models to both of our kids. We leave Busy Minds confident the lessons learnt & friends made by our children will last them a lifetime.
Thank you for the best parent evenings, Christmas parties and Matariki concerts from which we will cherish the memories. We write this with tears of sadness and joy in our eyes as we prepare to part ways, but this is not goodbye and more a see you around.

β β β β β Busy Minds is such an excellent childcare centre β I highly recommend it.
From day 1, our daughter Neve has felt welcomed, loved, and supported to follow her interests. The team, led by Kate and her long-term team members, do an amazing job creating a safe and stimulating space for the kids to grow.
There are a couple of key things that Iβve particularly appreciated.
First off, the core team is very stable, which means the centre feels more like a home than a daycare. All of the educators are enthusiastic, patient, warm and kind with the kids, encouraging them to explore and learn about the world. My daughter loves the teachers, and always has a big smile on at drop-off.
Second, itβs a small centre with a maximum of 30 kids. The children interact across age groups, but also do some activities in their age-related streams. I think the mixture of activities has enabled our daughter to interact well with kids who are both older and younger.
Third, the teachers are very intentional about helping each child to develop. Thereβs a strong focus on the development of lifelong βdispositionsβ like curiosity and empathy, that will stand the kids in good stead throughout their schooling (and beyond!). Thereβs also a focus on school readiness amongst the 4-year-olds, in terms of skills (like writing) and behaviours (like eating from your own lunch box). Iβm confident this will ease out daughter's transition to school.
Fourth, the kids have so many opportunities β in terms of topics to learn about, and ways to engage. Our daughter honed her physical skills on the geogym, balance beams, pop-up obstacle courses and more. Thereβs a garden and the chance to learn about things like the butterfly life cycle, thereβs waterplay in summer, a sandpit, a woodworking and tool area, topics related to sustainability, craft, plus books, puzzles and myriad other toys for learning and play.
Finally, there is a strong focus on intercultural understanding β with the kids learning songs in te reo and celebrating Matariki, celebrating Chinese New Year with lantern crafts and song, and finding ways to mark important milestones in the culture of different children and families.
In short (or long!) itβs a wonderful place, and weβre so happy we chose Busy Minds! We'll miss you! :)

β β β β β Busy Minds is a wonderful childcare centre. The teachers are caring, fun and energetic, and the staff turnover is low. Both my kids came here and both loved it. The food is healthy, and the kids say it is really delicious. They always looked forward to Playball every week when they could try different sports. There are always fun activities and exciting ways to learn through play. Even though it is a bit of a drive from our house, it was absolutely worth the drive. We will miss the Busy Minds family!

β β β β β I would highly recommend Busy Minds to any parent looking for a child care centre.
It is such a lovely homely environment with awesome teachers.
One of my two children have recently graduated from Busy Minds to go to school. They have put together a 2 page introduction of my child for the school teacher to read, highlighting his personality and interests. It reminded me how engaging their teachers are, how much they understand our children and all the effort they are putting into helping them grow into a kind, confident and resilient individual.
Thank you Kate and the team. You're doing an amazing job.

β β β β β Our family has travelled a lot and has gone through a number of daycares. Busy Minds is by far been the most memorable. The teachers are nurturing and caring. Every time we had a concern about my son, the teachers were there supporting us. I couldn't have asked for a better place for him. He has really come out of his shell and we believe it is hugely due to the loving teachers. We are so thankful for everything this daycare has provided us. We will miss you Busy Minds!

β β β β β Busy Minds is the best kindy that we have ever been in - and we have been to quite a few because we have been moving quite a bit. Kay always comes back home very contented, and in the morning, she is always eager to go to Busy Minds, which gives me and my husband peace of mind. The kindy itself is beautiful, with many toys purposefully and intentionally selected to engage the kids and their interest. However, the most important aspect for me would be the teachers and the ambiance they create, and I have to say that Busy Minds exceeds my expectations in every way. Kay is encouraged to help out her teachers and friends whenever she could, so she turns out loving, kind, helpful, and more and more resilient when difficulty arises.
We feel so lucky to have stumbled upon Busy Minds when we just moved into the area. Thank you Busy Minds, for taking care of Kayla very well, and for shaping her to be a happy and generous girl she is today. I hope you will inspire more and more children in the future to be the best version of themselves. Cheers to you and the teachers xx

β β β β β Iβm writing this with a heavy heart as we will be leaving the country and my child, busy minds. The teachers are like family and both my children absolutely adore them. Apart from having great teachers the facilities are awesome . The centre has a huge out door play ground, nap rooms and the food they serve is yummy and nutritious. They have different activities throughout the day. I especially like play ball Thursdays. Your child at busy minds will get a whole some upbringing and care. Big shout out to the teachers, who Iβll dearly miss.
