★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you Cabbage Tree Cafe for friendly service, good food and coffee. We were passing thru and after a few hours on the road this was lovely.My eggs benedict was yum, as were my partners omelet, and my son enjoyed his fries even though he didn't eat them all. If you are open on our return trip we will be back ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in for a quick breakfast, stayed for the GREAT food and service. The meal was larger than expected with a bit of everything. All the food going past us to other customers made me hungrier!! Took photos but can't upload... such a shame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a wonderful place to stop at in Tirau. Great selection, excellent coffee options. Loved the ambiance and the old school desks bought back some long forgotten memories. If you ever travelling through Tirau, a stop here is very worthwhile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Drinks. I ordered a long black and a takeaway flat white. Both of them were average. Flat white was too hot and tasted like burnt.
Food. My son and I got garlic mushroom. It’s very sweet! Yes, it’s sweet! I don’t think I ordered a dessert for my breakfast. My daughter had a simple egg on toast, but eggs were really sour. She didn’t have a bite. Disappointed.
Service. The girl didn’t look like happy to work alone in the morning. Not friendly and welcoming.
Sorry, wouldn’t go back.
