Very kind staff. My wife loved the savoury crepes. Cozy and warm.

I could be sitting in the Latin quarter such is the authenticity of this establishment. Last visit I met and shared a table with a world famous astrophysicist. The shabby chic unapologetic decor lends an ambience that inspires flamboyant gesticulation, passionate discussion and general appreciation of life sans worries. The food is authentic home made delicious and reasonably priced. The menu is displayed on a black chalk wall. Crepes, baguettes, pastry, gateaux... formidable! Coffee was smooth, hot and palatable. Always busy verging on crowded at lunch time, populated by local repeat custom and francophiles from here to Martinborough

I loved my flat white with Almond milk. Friendly customer service. I watched others eating crepes. Family friendly,

Quality of crepes changed since the ownership changed. I don't recommend it anymore. Not enough garniture inside the galettes and way too expensive for the quantity of food inside. Service too disorganized and slow. That's a pity, I used to love coming.

Nice and cosy French place for a breakfast or small lunch in Wellington CBD. A menu with heaps of options which looks very authentic. Staff are not very welcoming and the place has no real real vibe. Menu and staff insist on speaking French and as someone who can’t speak French I didn’t feel very welcome. Menu needs more details (in English) and can easily mislead you. Prices are midrange and acceptable when you compare it with the size of the portions. We ordered omelet, beef mince crepe and some sweets. The omelet was overcooked and the smoked chicken used in the omelette was normal product from supermarket and cheese was very normal supermarket sold cheese. Mince crepe was good but really small portion. Sweets and jam were awesome. Overall nice place to spend a morning but a bit overrated (like most of other restaurants and cafes in NZ).

It really bugs me when people give bad reviews. I ask myself if these same people have ever had the bottle to take a risk and start their own business of are they PAYE clock on clock off uninspired by life kinda folk. Cafe Breton is French so what language would folk like the owner to talk in ? Spanish ? German possibly Latin would that please the want to be food critics ? This is a perfectly fine French cafe. If you do not like it please do us all a favor and don’t return. Please don’t rubbish these guys. We are loosing our heart in the city from retailers struggling as it is so they do not need amateur hour contributing to their struggle. Perfectly fine cafe and prices match the city environment and current inflation.

Had the La Savoyarde, one of their savoury buckwheat crepes, and it was tasty! Service was friendly and good. Give this place a go whenever you're in town.

50 mins wait for very average toasted sanwiches and savoury crepes. Burnt bacon, untoasted soggy bread, covered in melted cheese, and 'salad' consisting of raw spinach leaves. Was expecting much better the price, and nearly an hour wait to get food.
