A little disappointed in my coffee. Didn't taste the greatest. Service was great. Nice and quite for a morning fuel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Order the 1kg and mussels and was very disappointed, understand at times mussels might not be fat which is out of their control but what you should never get in a restaurant like this that specialises in mussels is that they have not been steamed correctly and are way over cooked. Also order a lamb shank pie which was beautiful so gave the food a 3 rating otherwise would have been a 1 ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beer tonight’s choice was Juliper. Comes in a glass designed for the beer. The chips are always excellent. The beer on offer is good. We don’t in particular enjoy Wheat beer but it’s available.
The eggplant dish was disappointing and promised more but fell short. Spend a bit more time preparing your eggplant please. And cut the end of the egg plant off. Grill it or roast prior. It just didn’t cut it. Hate being picky.
I wanted to complain but sometimes you just can’t be bothered. It was a fun night and well the staff were chilled and happy.
To make the point it’s a score of three.
Service is very good overall and personable. Some basic training from management and tips on serving meals may help. However to be fair that was not the usual experience.
The atmosphere is well presented and warm. No complaints there. It’s a great authentic atmosphere.
We have been to Leuven many times over the last few years. Tonight I just didn’t want a steak or the croquettes which are always well done or the meatballs which are very tasty.
Leuven, take note, Vegetarian dishes are a requirement these days. Bit more prep on the eggplant and you’ll crack it. We will be calling to discuss.

Had a beer and a steak fries.
The beer was completely flat, without pressure. Changed 3 times, for the same results.
The steak was properly cook, however the sauce béarnaise was awful, tasted like melted butter.
$42 for that, ridiculous

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful old pub styled restaurant and bar. Food was fantastic and staff friendly.
Priced about average for this part of town.
I had a steak which is right up there with the best I've tasted. My wife had the chicken dish. If you you are hungry get a side dish of fries.
I would eat here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice. Lovely food and wheat beer. The wheat beer was perfect. Not "flat" as reviewed by others, a lovely head holding the flavor in. Lamb rump was also excellent with a delicious char flavor with nicely matched vege, particularly the grilled beans. I'm waiting for my rhubarb crumble, hopefully it lives up to my anticipation.
Nice venue with friendly staff, there is a light build it over the bar, as an electrician this results in one star being docked. A very enjoyable experience. I think I'll come back tomorrow to check it's just as good.
