★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a taxi in advance to pick me for a flight through the AirNZ app. Taxi never arrived despite confirmation, called to ask if there were delays and was told my booking didn't exist. Was called back saying that the booking did exist and they won't have a cab for me. Still waiting for a refund. Will never book a taxi through AirNZ app or use capital taxis again. Uber picked me up within 5 minutes for half the price and managed to get me there on time in a panic..

Booked a taxi to collect my friend from Wellington airport later that same day. All booked through online system ok and took payment. Later a text was sent to me friend to tell him they had cancelled a booking. He got in an airport taxi (which I normally assume will be much more expensive) but was actually $10 cheaper than capital taxis! STILL waiting for a refund for the taxi that never showed up. Wish I had read the reviews before booking. DO NOT BOOK WOTH THIS COMPANY!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked Capital Taxis via the AirNZ app, thinking it was more concrete and cheaper way to get to my hui, however they never turned up. I rang and found out that my booked taxi had taken another customer. The operator offered another taxi but I would have to wait. I declined as I was already late. I caught a regular taxi and the cost was $5 cheaper than the app offered! Figure that out! Disappointed with the service & definitely won’t be using Capital taxis again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Confirmed my pick up a week before we flew and received quite an abrupt email in reply. Arrived at Wellington airport at 1 am to no taxi and no one at their office until 3 am. Apparently the return trip was not entered into their system. This makes me wonder what they confirmed beforehand. I have been refunded but it left a sour taste after a long journey home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Happy with our service. Driver was friendly and arrived on time, as organised.
Only downsides were that the online booking system made us pay $31.50 instead of the $25 CBD to airport deal, and we didn't receive any email/text confirmation for the booking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked and prepaid a taxi to take me to the airport on Christmas Day via Air New Zealand, off their list of recommended airport transfer providers. I phoned Capital Taxis several days prior to confirm and was assured a car and driver had been assigned to me. While I was outside waiting for my taxi on Christmas Day, I got a phone call to say it had broken down and was running 20 minutes late. 5 minutes later I received another call to say it couldn't come now as was still broken down. The operator tried to find another car to take me but was unable to because it was "Christmas and all the other drivers are off duty". I was left stranded. Luckily I have my own car, so I was able to drive myself to the airport and just managed not to miss my plane. It was really stressful - my Christmas could have been completely ruined.
On my return 4 days later I had to pay $129.50 for airport parking. Trying to get any reimbursement from Capital Taxis was like getting blood from a stone, never mind an apology. The manager refused to speak to me when I phoned up and actually blocked my email! Only after Air New Zealand intervened did he give me a refund and even then Air New Zealand had to pick up the shortfall to reimburse me fully for my airport parking. Lesson learned - never use Capital Taxis if you want to be sure of making it to the airport. Totally unprofessional business - cannot be relied on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I booked a day prior for a taxi to take me to the airport. I waited 5 mins for my taxi, called, and was told there was no booking, and they could get me a taxi in an hour. It sounded like the same operator too. So thankful to uber for getting me to the airport on time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute disaster company - do NOT use. We booked and prepaid a ride to the airport in Wellington. The car didn't show and apparently there was no booking in their system but they changed our credit card immediately. Reading the other reviews, it is probably a scam company - AVOID AT ALL COST! We nearly missed our flight...
