About Carterton Golf Club, Wairarapa
Established in 1911, the Carterton Golf Club at Clareville, in the Wairarapa, is set against the foothills of the stunning Tararua Ranges.
The par 71 (5612 metre) course is reasonably flat, while still providing most golfers with a challenging round of golf in tranquil and picturesque surroundings. With excellent drainage the course is playable year-round.
A unique feature is a pair of memorable par 3s that never fail to test the accuracy of even the best golfers. What's your choice? Take the high route and risk going out-of-bounds or play safe and hope the trees are don't grab your ball? Numbers 12 & 15 will keep you coming back to try again!

β β β β β Lovely country course, the staff and members should be very proud. Visited on a Sunday, the lounge lady in the office was so welcoming and went out of her way to make our day great. Even opened the bar for our group of 8 without a bother. Congratulations on a beautiful course.

β β β β β Great place to stay in Motorhome, we parked just outside the little bridge on the grass with few trees around us. The course was very enjoyable, two little challenging Par 3s. Unfortunately they haven't had much rain so not much green grass on T boxes or fairways. Greens were fabulous

β β β β β Nice course, nice support whilst booking and starting.
However, we were very disappointed with how rude and arrogant club members were towards us and not very welcoming. Play was slow ahead of us, but we were getting blamed.
They were not welcoming to developing golfers. Make sure you go when the members are not about. You would think they would welcome the $400 of green fees we paid to the club.

β β β β β Came here with a big group for some Foot Golf. Sara, the Club Secretary, was very helpful when booking and we were superbly looked after on the day.
The clubhouse was excellent and some of the regular golfers in our group were eyeing up the regular golf course for a possible return in future. All in all, a great set up and experience.
