★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good Coffee, now open Sunday too. Bit of a wait on food, but really nice and well priced. But hate being served food you need a knife and fork to eat, in a bowl. Please use plates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven’t been to the Castle Rock Cafe in a few years, so thought I would give it a visit and I was very disappointed. A shell it’s former self, no menu at all (only cabinet food) and a dark uninviting atmosphere. A contrast from the former cafe’s bright, welcoming staff and general service. Hopefully in the future they can reestablish themselves as one of my favourite cafes in Christchurch.
