★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Sat. 1st week school holidays took ma kids to enjoy a day at devenport, went to buy fish and chips across the road from the park at "Catch 22 Fish and Chips" we spent $88.00 thinking it must be worth what we were paying....WRONG?...We recieved overcooked chips, fish, potato fritter & 2x burnt mussell fritters. AND...my brother found hairs in his fish disguisting?and after we we ate what was a little eatable we all had a kind of tangy oily taste in our throats....it felt like the oil was over used and not changed in a while yucky after taste. After this experince i went back and told the girl of the overcooked expensive food we got and showed her the hairs we found in the fish...she didnt say much...i just hope they realise that THIS IS NOT the right cooking service they should be providing...and the unhygienic service could potentially make people sick or kill them esp. the kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We tried our first fish and chips in Auckland and no doubt it was best. The snapper with chips and lemon was good. The only disappointed thing is you have pay extra for garlic or tomato sauce.

Crispy chips and fish and cooked nicely
Cooking oil seemed of good quality and didn't affect the taste
Might be on the pricey side but justified by the good quality
We all loved our meals , Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've visited this fish and chip shop three times this year. Previous visits resulted in overcooked schnapper and terakihi fish fillets.
Today I gave useful feedback: please don't overfry the crumbed fillet. They didn't and I was glad.
Ate the fillet before I thought to snap it. Tasty with lemon; eaten outside.

Unlike some takeaways, you eat what you've ordered instead of just batter. And also, the batter at Catch 22 isn't oily either. It is a little bit more expensive than most takeaways, but honestly, you get your moneys worth. 10/10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got the chicken chow mein. Most disgusting takeaway I’ve ever had. The noodles weren’t properly boiled and were hard in the middle and chicken was sparse and had a slimey texture. Would not recommend.
