★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dear Manager of Seamart on Friday night. While your fish is very nice ( Chips - soso) your customer service leaves much to be desired. When ordering I used the menu on the table at the entrance. One would think the prices on this were accurate. Surely it is your responsibility to make sure they are. I chose Tarakihi because it had a middling price . 4 Pieces of fish at $5.80 (according to the printed list )plus $4.00 chips =$27.20 I was charged over $37.00. I queried this and was told I had been charged the correct price as on the board. - which I could not see from the door. I had paid the $37 by credit card and could not stop the order. So based on the advertised price on the table, I asked you for a refund on the discrepancy. You were very reluctant - the sheet was old/wrong and was left on the table in error and I should have seen the correct price on the board - which i could not. Some how this was my fault (how was i to know your printed price list was wrong and left by error) and I should not get a refund. I had to ask for it several times. Finally you worked out somehow that i should get $2.30 and gave me that. NO!!!!! I should have got $10. I was fed up by this point and left. It's not a great sum but as a business you have the responsibility to make sure your prices are correctly posted and that you honour them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Regular Wednesday customer, well hubby is. Last week order wasn't correct, but the mistake was rectified before leaving the shop. Tonight unfortunately, chips were missing as well as a sausage and only 2 scallops instead of 3.Rang the shop to tell them,as we didn't want to go back,told them we will sort out their mistake next week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all very courteous to the elderly patrons. They were allowed to sit in the store to keep warm. We tried
it for the first time today and I really enjoyed the food. The prices are reasonable and we found out later absolutely worth their price! They have a great selection to choose from. I had a fish, chips, Oysters and crispy squid with chilli sauce The squid tastes like the best pork crackling ever. My new fav. I also had a milkshake which was perfect. My husband had an Egg burger, fish, crabstick and chips. Very satisfied. We have been searching for a good fish and chip shop and we have found it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chose this fish & chip shop out of the 2 in town. The first time we got fish (hoki) & chips combo with potato fritter and the gourmet Angus burger. I was so impressed with the Angus burger being hands down the best fish & chip shop takeaway burger I've ever had. lemon pepper on chips add that extra element.
-second time my partner got the gourmet spicy lamb burger was pretty good and quarter pounder which he liked better & I tried and also liked
I must say though I ordered the gourmet deluxe fish burger and the Cajun chicken burger & I was very underwhelmed/bit disappointed.. fish & chicken both over cooked, not much fillings and yeah bit of a let down next to those other 2 burgers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered the Snapper with chips. Snapper came with a lemon wedge & was beautifully cooked encased in crispy batter. Chips were well seasoned and non greasy. Crisp on the exterior & soft & fluffy in the middle. This is a great Fish & Chips shop. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gourmet Angus burger in photo. This place is amazing, lucky to be a local. Best fish and chips shop I've found in NZ yet. Their burgers are of the same quality as burger fuel. Chips are crisp and not oily. Ingredients are always fresh.
I've had their fish too and it's very good. Generous portions. Can't go wrong here, although I wasn't the biggest fan of the scotch filet burger, a bit dry for me.
