★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On a rainy day, sometimes the best thing to do is to go to the movies. We went here and it was the first time we have been to the movies since March 2020! And the last time I came to this movie theatre (years ago), it was rickety and old! It has now been completely modernised and updated and can easily compete with the big cities in terms of facilities. While not lazy boy type chairs, they are extremely comfortable inside small and intimate sized theatres. Book in advance with covid red traffic light restrictions in Northland (difficult to do on the spur of the moment) or have a plan B (which we did - a second movie choice). A most pleasant experience as far as movie theatres go! Go, you won’t be disappointed, at least not by the facilities (I can’t speak to the choice of movie, lol!).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The older women with short grey hair at reception was very unpleasant and rude. She defiantly can’t handle the rush. She then came into the theatre before the movie and started yelling at everyone to move because nobody was sitting in their allocated seats… very awkward.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's just the local cinema, it's a fun night out. The seats are actually better than most in the city (Auckland) and the staff are always friendly. Good choice for a guys/gals night out at the movies.
