About Chances Surf NZ Whangamata
A proud Kiwi owned family business Chances Surf started from humble beginnings, with our first store opening in Oneroa, Waiheke Island by our Mum Wilma in 1985. Since then it’s become a family affair and as our family has grown, so too has Chances Surf.
We now have 13 retail stores located within the North Island and an online store boasting one of New Zealand's largest ranges of surf, fashion & swimwear.
We’re all for Kiwis supporting Kiwis so we proudly stock a range of homegrown brands including ilabb, RPM, Hello Stranger, Junkfood Jeans and home-lee. Plus the hottest international brands such as Quiksilver, Roxy, Billabong, Ripcurl, Rusty, The Mad Hueys, Salty Crew, Sun Bum, Seafolly, Havaianas and lots more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To be fair I have not bought a lot from this store - but if i was shopping for myself i would be very tempted because the saleswoman is fantastic - very effervescent, welcoming without being too overwhelming.
I have been in 3 x - twice with my daughter and the first time i went alone having received totally unwelcoming treatment from a store very close by. The difference in customer services was extreme !
I stood for 5 minutes in the previous shop with a fairly expensive handbag i wanted to purchase in my hand waiting for some service - as the lady fluffed around opting to ignore me (she glanced furtively at me from time to time) I decided i would wait and see how long it would take....in the end i went next door (ish) and spent the 200 dollars there instead.
Ms Chances is a fantastic asset to that business.
