β β β β β I was totally devastated by the lack of empathy I was shown. it started out the first 3-4 weeks fine but this ended being one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I was upset and feeling frustrated in a session and left in a total mess there was no effort to check I was okay or that I was safe ( I wasn't being destructive or violent I was genuinely just upset and was crying). It is the responsibility of the life coach/counsellor to firstly make sure safety comes first and secondly if they are unable to help accept it explain it and offer to help to find the right help. This never happened and consequently it really made things so much worse and i became very self destructive and suicidal. I have since been diagnosed with ASD and a ED by another perfessional whom has been incredably amazing and patient in the months I've been seeing them. I would not recommend change life coaching in christchurch . Despite being life coaches as well as saying they have credentials in therapy I do not think they have been very helpfull or understanding ( its really hard talking about real issues when it comes to your own mental health ) and question their ethics. I feel it was miss leading and unprofessionaly excuted.
