About Chimney Sweep
Sector two incorporates the new Stebbings development area and Churton Park which currently has a huge gap in Green Belt connections with next to no trails.
Wellington City Council has purchased a new block which backs onto Ohariu/Churton Park which we would like to see have a shared trail connector with access between north, south and east.
We would like to see the recent Stebbings Valley consultation plan fitting within this sector and eventually have those planned additional green spaces and connectors implemented to reduce the sector two green space gap.
We also support the exploration of trying to connect Ohariu Ridge and land purchases such as the recent new land at 268 Ohariu.
Create multiple entrances to trails
Access to green space and the natural environment must be close for all to help ensure a better quality of life. We hear about bush corridors linked up for the birds, but it is also nice to link reserves for people too. This helps create better local loops as is mentioned in the plan overview.
