β β β β β Walk along the Avon River / ΕtΔkaro, through the Botanic Gardens.
If you just need a bit of time and space, this is an awesome walk with several different gardens within the overall garden. Also plenty of ducks, geese and other birds.

β β β β β Absolutely amazing gardens to visit. A HUGE variety of plants and so much to learn from walking around and reading the signs. There's a big playground for kids with a pool as well and changing rooms. There's a guided tour that you can pay for and a gift shop as well. There's also stands that sell plants and a food shop near the playground. So much parking, and a good injection of much needed nature ?

β β β β β Didn't have time to explore everything, however what we saw was beautiful! So many wonderful flowers growing in the gardens, many I've never seen in real life. I will return in the future to explore the rest.

β β β β β Easily one of the best features of the Garden City Εtautahi Christchurch. I absolutely love the Botanic Gardens and frequently visit for a stroll with friends or by myself as it is so refreshing. There's lots of birdsong and gorgeous flowers all year round. No matter how many times I visit there is always something new to see! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

β β β β β Beautiful! Love beautiful flowers & colors during spring and plentiful roses (in rose garden) in early summer. You'll amaze to see many types of roses with various colors! They have playground and small pool (open on summer) and its kid's friendly park. Love to come here with kids

β β β β β Large garden with a variety of interesting plants from around the world to see. Good to take the family to. The Canterbury Museum is right next to the garden which is also free, so it's a great location to spend half a day, if not more.
