β β β β β It is actually a good hospital with good general staff and good medical staff.
However long waits at A and E are not good and the car parking for most staff and the general public is appalling. Even the disabled car parking is full and unavailable far too much of the time.
To make it worse the senior staff and managers get car parks. A perfect example of do what I say not what I do. That is, "I am important but not you!" They really need to sort that sort of nonsense. It really is unacceptable!
Do I have confidence in being delivered quality service. I think I do believe this is true but do worry about being rushed out the door when the hospital is busy.

β β β β β New ED was difficult to find. Once found I noted the outrages parking fees. Once inside Ed it was a welcoming environment. We were attended to promptly and the wait to see the doctor was short

β β β β β Absolutely pathetic.
I had to wait for five and half hour just for nothing eventually I had to go after hour madras street.
I have completely lost the faith in Christchurch Hospital.
Staff didnβt even care about anyone all they did was talking.Itβs just that they donβt care about anyone which is so sad.All the young and the old patients were soo tired and confused.
The sad part is it has happened twice first time I had to wait for four hours and this time almost six hours.
Please sort it out.

β β β β β Poor experience, My mother has come in on urgent admission referred by her doctor. In unbearable back pain and needing a bed she has been waiting for two hours upright in a wheelchair which is worsening the severity of the pain. Her doctor told me to be assertive and ensure she is taken straight through, but I have been shut down multiple times by reception. The clients they are taking through are walking and in no distress. There is no urgency hierarchy here and Iβm really disappointed

β β β β β My partner went in unable to breath. They Took him straight away. A swam of nurses snd doctors worked miracles and kept him alive. The whole experience was amazing, professional and extremely supportive, also to me as a concerned and worried partner. All the staff were amazing from the doctors, nurses, aides, cleaners and tea ladies. They all combined to make my partners hospital experience not as scary or uncomfortable as it could have been. We are truely thankful to have such a wonderful team working in our hospital.

β β β β β I have recently been in ward 18 at Christchurch Public Hospital. The staff were amazing. The nurses were nothing but caring and so professional. I felt so confident in our future. Could not do enough to make you feel comfortable. Just to mention a few. Penny, Robyn, Meg, Laura and Caitlin and so many more whom I donβt remember the names of. The lady Eve who brought around the meals. The cleanliness was tops. The aids were so hard working. Loved my stay even though it was in a hospital. Meals were great. In the times we have which make everything that bit more difficult you are all doing an amazing job. Everyone has their own individual things going on in their lives but still come to work and cheer people up and give them top care. Well done and thank you. Did really worry when these young girls were finishing very late at night and going to cars parked some distance away. So unsafe. Keep well and safe everyone. Thanks again. ??

β β β β β 5 Star for the staff but absolutely horrendous lack of parking for both staff and public. It is completely unacceptable in the name of health. Sometimes I have to turn around and go home after driving for half an hour to find a park to visit a loved one. What frustrates me the most is that you have a massive green field directly opposite that could easily give 5% of itβs mostly unused space to a multi story parking lot. The council obviously turn a blind eye to the dire situation. Health needs to come before sports.
