β β β β β Nice historical bridge over a lovely river. You can swim in the river on one side. There's a rope swing for fun.

β β β β β An interesting stop with some neat history. There is a small park area and some new toilets which make this a good pit stop.
The bridge is still open and can be walked across.

β β β β β Enjoyed breaking up the drive to Invercargill by stopping here! The rope swing on the south side was lots of fun, look for it by the river. The bridge itself maybe isn't super exciting, but it's a nice excuse to get out and stretch.

β β β β β A nice spot for a rest and pictures on the way from Te Anau to Invercargill, via Gemstone Beach on the way. Historic suspension bridge with interesting information to read. There is a public toilet at the car park. There's often people with jet boats going up and down the river too

β β β β β The Clifton Suspension Bridge is absolutely Amazing! How incredible that it was made in 1899! Incredible engineering for the time and still a sight to behold today. A must see, in an absolutely gorgeous setting!
