About Clive Colonial Cottages
Hi, Tony & I are so excited to be the new owners of this wonderfully unique accommodation business. Over the past few decades, like many New Zealanders, we have explored our own backyard and beyond - and after having stayed in a plethora of different accommodations we know what makes for a memorable escape. We continue to use our experience and inspiration to offer each and every guest that passes through our gates the highest quality stay.
We have both lived in Hawkes Bay for the majority of our lives, and have raised 6 children here. After all these years, we have managed to scout out some great spots for almost anybody: from hikers to sun bathers, from coffee connoisseurs to wine lovers, from arts and culture enthusiasts to shopaholics and everyone in between!
Our children are now all grown up, but we still have a couple of cats and dogs to keep us busy, not to mention the dozens of chickens who lay delicious eggs for all our guests to enjoy as part of their first morning breakfast.
We look forward to meeting you, and hope you enjoy your stay with us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was A M A Z I N G!!!!!! Great facilities and a great pool table(very addictive ?) I recommend it soooooo much and if there are any other reviews that are bad, you should not listen to them!!!!!! Bellbird cabin 20/4/19-23/4/19 Pls book this place!!!!!!!!!! The cabins are really well layed out and the bed are Mega comfy!!! Also will be great for the kids, there a full size pool table, a giant chess set outside and also a great pétanque set!!!!! Once again Book it?
Ps it also came with some fresh eggs

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay in the 3 bedroom, beautifully renovated cottage the weekend of April 21st and 22nd. Everything we needed was there and the cottage was clean, quiet and refined. Neil and Sandra were fabulous hosts. The location was perfect for exploring the area........wineries, hiking trails and beautiful beaches all within 30 minutes drive. Probably the best nights sleep we had in 3 weeks of travelling the north island! We will definitely stay there on our next visit to Hawkes Bay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this place! The cottages are charming, well-built and immaculate inside. The gardens are stunning! We stayed two nights and have come all the way from Colorado to explore the Hawkes Bay area. This place is minutes from the ocean, popular wineries and restaurants. Perfect location, but you feel tucked away in your own little garden oasis!
