★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love our new Kia Seltos but the after sales service is appalling. From the factory our steering wheel had a small defect in the leather which Cockram Kia were happy to replace upon the salesman noticing it. 6+ months later this still hasn't been resolved, even after speaking to the Branch Manager and Service Supervisor who assured me they would remedy the situation. There's no communication from them as far as updates go and even after ringing in I'm constantly waiting to hear back from them on what is happening, only to be told they will be in touch. Weeks later I hear nothing back. Would recommend the car but definitely not from this branch if you want good service and communication.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I purchased a new Kia Stonic in July 2021. Before that I had owned 3 Suzukis over 15 years and while I loved the cars, I could no longer support a company that provided increasingly appalling after sales service. I hoped I had found an improvement with Cockram Kia. The before sales service from Kara was excellent and I even spoke to someone from the service department to allay my fears. I went ahead with the purchase and even found the over the top unveiling ceremony enjoyable.
Early August I rang and spoke to Gareth Parry, Service Supervisor re the number of random and unexplained chimes. His response was that it could be a multitude of things which wasn't at all helpful. He suggested I leave it to be sorted until the 1500km check.
I fully expected the issues to be sorted at the 1500km check on 16/Sept especially as I had emailed the details and reminded the service staff of the problems when I delivered the car. But on the drive home we realised nothing had changed.
Attempt 3 to sort this involved an email to Gareth Parry - his response was 'once we drop Covid alert levels, we have you take someone for a drive ...' This was despite your website welcoming customers back with the appropriate caution.
I'd Cc'd Kara into that email and she made contact. She was helpful all thru this sorry saga. Of the most help was Isaac at Kia in Auckland who actually listened to our concerns. After multiple phone calls and emails, several trips to Cockram Kia, the replacement of the infotainment system, the muting of the navigation system, and a great deal of stress, the problem seems to have been sorted.
My concern is that I wasn't listened to. Telling a new owner that random and unexplained chimes are a 'feature' is just bs and doesn't help anyone.
I have only managed 3 stars which is a real pity as I like the car and am now enjoying driving it. Most of those stars are for the car, Kara, and Isaac. The lack of stars are for Gareth Parry who needs to grab a dictionary and look up the word service.
And my concerns were not helped when my husband spoke to a driver of a yellow Kia Stonic NNS446 in the old Rolleston library car park. He asked her if she was enjoying her new car. She said the random beeps scared her and it seemed she'd been bullied into putting up with them. Not good enough Cockram Kia.

When we received our vehicle, he meticulously went through all of the functions in the car with us and insisted we call him if we had ANY questions about the car. It's obvious that these guys really put the effort in to learning about their product and are passionate about selling it. Top marks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible communicators. I was sold a vehicle on the basis a roof box could be fitted and was assured they would handle it. 4 months later- nothing. Was told my phone number doesn’t work!? Really- it worked when you sold me the vehicle. It’s been almost a year now and issue still not resolved. I have been lied to by the sales team and had to do a lot more running round to eventually find out I’m wasting my time. We never would have purchased this car if we knew we were going to have these issues. If purchasing a vehicle from here make sure you do your own homework on the vehicle in question to be sure it is suitable for your needs. Apparently asking the sales team here is pointless. Thanks a bunch Cockram Kia.
