Service was ok but when we got to our table, my daughter and I saw a large chunk of bird poo on the silver holder that you put your number into while waiting for our food & coffee? sparrows were flying around the inside of the cafe & sitting on the tables, surely this is unhygienic? I've had better experiences at other cafes around Warkworth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waiting 30 minutes plus for food when the cafe is only a third full is not my idea of good service. It doesn't help when finally my wife's food arrives to be told that the lunch I ordered was no longer available and what would I like instead. When it arrived my wife had already finished hers and I had to remind them that the slice I ordered was missing as well. This was not good after a similar scenario occurred in Columus Cafe in Whangarei only a few weeks ago. We vowed never to go back there again. I have given a two star rating because when the food did arrive it was more than acceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here a couple of times. Everything is overpriced and pretty mediocre. I took away a container of slaw it was $15!!!!!! The $5 one at supermarket was better!
It was Saturday, busy and grossly understaffed. Tables not wiped down. The staff were hard working and doing their best to be friendly and I commented to them that they looked understaffed. One staff replied that they had had staff cuts. I really hope the owners are reading these reviews. Having a monopoly on a place like Mitre 10 where you are guaranteed customers dosnt mean you should elevate prices and cut staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good choice of food and at reasonable prices, the staff are helpful, courteous and well dressed.
Coffees are okay, but ask for it hot and with the meal, as they tend to get the coffees out quick, which will get cold while you wait for the meal. This is okay if you want the coffee first, or only warm as it cools waiting for your meal.
The sparrows there are a bit of a pain as they poo on the chairs.
Otherwise an okay place for a quick bite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff were helpful in me getting my Birthday coffee. Turns out you need to know the right words to use when ordering. Oops! Nice food, lovely decorations for Halloween too. They take pride in their workplace it’s easy to see. Clean & friendly with magazines & newspapers to browse as well. Made it a nice experience for a weary shopper

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On Tuesday 15th Sept I went with a friend for a coffee and had difficulty finding a clean table as they had not been wiped down. I mentioned to a staff member that the tables need cleaning & she said she would do it. NO tables were wiped clean the whole time we were there, which was for 40 mins. I saw three different lots of customers sitting one after each other at the same tables. One man took off his disposable mask and put it on the table so he could eat. After he left the table was not wiped down. There was a total absence of hygeine regarding the tables which surely would be a covid spreader if any customer was contageous. I am astounded that so many people will sit at a dirty table and just flick the crumbs on the floor. The birds on tables like it.
