★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit and very disappointed. Had the Chicken Scotch Egg which was minuscule and the sour dough toast so thin it toasted to a hard crisp, had to pick up to eat could not be cut with knife and fork. Can’t believe this cost $19.50! And if the large coffee was a large I would hate to see the small. Will not be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rude staff. We weren’t greeted when we came through the door and stood awkwardly waiting to be seated (it wasn’t even busy). Waitress spent most of the time talking to her colleague sitting next to us on her lunch break. We ended up leaving after about 10 minutes as nobody came to take our order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A friend recommended this cafe a while ago, we came all the way down to Petone. It was totally a disappointing experience. We went there for the good plate presentation but unfortunately the burger and sandwich were all just present by itself on the plate, there was no decorations at all. The sauce in burger was leaking out and the sauce in sandwich was too salty. The Korean style fried chicken was no sauce on it which supposed to have sauce. The staff didn’t even ask for our feedback. Poor customer service. One of the staff has arrogant attitude. The food definitely didn't seem as good as the photos on the website, definitely not gonna come back here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the chicken burger. It was very tasty. Nice crispy chicken and a good tasting slaw. Signage on the outside isn't very clear so hard to find from the street. Good service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really delicious food! Fried chicken was killer and the banana waffles huge and yummy! Not a long wait for food but we had to kill some time before we got a table- (testament to how good they are!) Definitely coming back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited towards the end of a Saturday, nice & chill with the staff still attentive. We both ordered the spicy noodles & shared a side of deep fried tofu. The meal was deliciously fresh & tasty with the right amount of zing. The tofu added a perfect crunch to the dish & is portioned easy to be shared. The Kawakawa Fire & Tokyo Lime teas rounded the meal off. A lovely experience after having our nails done at Tippy Toes also on Jackson St.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food with a beautiful twist. Stunningly presented. Perfect coffee. Modern decor but old school service - all you need for a mid morning brunch! Away from the hustle of the main village, Comes & Goes offers a great menu that you should definitely try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been wanting to come here for breakfast for ages, but it’s always either fully booked or closed - the draw card being the high ratings and the option to build your own breakfast. Finally made it! Built my own breakfast and it was delicious! Definitely worth a visit. And if not for breakfast or brunch, then the cabinet offers up some pretty delicious looking options for afternoon tea.
