★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very run down old pub. The beers was delicious as I'm a big fan of what they have on tap here. The toilets were rather disgusting and I actually refused to use them. Guy behind the bar seemed like he should have retired a long time ago. All in all not the worst place to stop for a beer but some large improvements could definitely be made.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called in to do a TAB ID verification and place a couple bets. There was no one in the pub and the old bar dude saw me walk in then walked out the back of the bar and took his time coming back, when he did finally come back:
Me: Hi, just wondering if I can do a TAB ID verification.
Expired Bartender: No
Me: Ok, might pay to let them know cause it says on the TAB website you can get it done here.
Expired Bartender: Well... they can go f%^* themselves.
Me: Right....
Despite the incredible NZ hospitality and service I wouldn’t touch this place with a barge pole. It’s tired, old and rundown and I’m pretty sure the only reason it does still exist is because it’s the only local TAB. It’s a shame it didn’t slip into the mine when it caved in.
