★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Conroy were initially great to deal with so I had hoped the end of our experience would be just as good. Unfortunately I was wrong! After having our items in storage with them for 2 months, move in day arrived! The team were booked to arrive at 12pm. I got a phone call at 12.45pm from the branch manager letting me know the team were running late, but should be with me in 45mins. I appreciate that moving companies run late, so was grateful for the phone call. However they didn’t arrive until 2.15pm, started unloading only to discover they had brought the wrong container...! They then had to return to the depot, reload the right container, and didn’t get back until 4pm, meaning we had lost an entire afternoon of unpacking.
In our original quote we had also discussed having some pot plants taken down separately as they can’t go into storage... unfortunately they didn’t make this clear in the quote, so would like to charge another $700 to move 3 medium sized plants. Overall very disappointed! I would not use them in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely shocking service! I purchased an antique day bed off trade me and the seller took pictures of the item being loaded into the van by the Conroy Removal guys and the item was in perfect condition. Fast forward two weeks (yes this is how long it took them to deliver it) and they have snapped both the ends off the day bed. When they delivered it and were questioned about it, they immediately blamed the seller and said they collected it like that, despite being told I had photographic proof to say otherwise. So when I refused to sign the docket to say it had been delivered in one piece they said they didn't care, I couldn't prove it was them anyway and just walked away! If I thought this was bad, I rang their head office and was put through to a Manager who put me through to voicemail and no one has ever called me back, and it's been a month. I now have to take my day bed to a cabinet maker to replace the snapped dowels and glue both ends back on for a price tag of $450. Thanks very much Conroys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s been six months and I’m still waiting. Excuses and More Excuses. Biggest mistake I ever made is going with Conroy. Getting hold of them is very very hard. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go with Conroy a big NOO.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do I start all we have is troubles and lies with this company. Picked up items on 23/December/2021 and it's 9/May/2022 we still haven't received our stuff and we don't even know if they even do it this year worst company ever to deal with. They just keep lying. I'm living with no essential stuff from past 4 months. It's just too much exhaustion dealing with Conroy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish we never went with this company for our move from Melbourne to NZ. Our house full of stuff got picked up on the 17th of January, they only sent one poor guy to do our whole house (3 bed, 3 bath and a full double garage). We never get an answered phone call or email, would be easier to get blood out of a stone. Our shipment was supposed to leave on the 21st of January. We have had no response if the paperwork has been finalised or completed, there didn’t seem to be any confirmation of boxes set aside for declared items, we didn’t get any answer as to whether anything was shipped and the just got an automatic response a whole month later that it hasn’t even left Melbourne. We have now been without our stuff for 6 weeks and no one can even give as an answer as to what’s going on. Took our money done and then never hear anything further and we paid for the full service door to door.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible service. I believe my items would still be in their original location if I hadn’t contacted Conroys and followed up multiple times. Did not return phone calls, voicemails or emails. Person I was dealing with lied and refused to pass me on to manager for help. Goods only shipped after numerous follow ups from me, almost a month after the promised 3-7 working days. Would never ship with again and would not recommend anyone else do so either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The duo from Conroys were amazing! They were incredibly hardworking, efficient, calm and organised. I have a child with a disability and they were very conscientious. I was relocating from Auckland to Hamilton and it was the easiest move to date, and I have moved several times. I highly recommend them. They were also considerably cheaper than anywhere else !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t move with Conroys. They will charge you for extra labour and resist to refund you at all costs. Highly deceptive invoicing and they are not an a customer friendly business.
Got charged an extra 40 minutes for labour that I never used and refuses to refund.
The actual movers were good folk and the move was relatively seamless. Although they did drop my brand new fridge which now has scratches.
