Bovine Calf/Family Care Skills
This course is designed for the part-timer on the farm whose main job is to rear the calves. It will teach you the basic method and how to apply it to the bovine and humans in your environment. It will teach you the techniques to help maintain the health of, and efficiency of, your busy farming unit.
Tea & coffee provided, please bring your own lunch, suitable wet weather gear and gumboots, as part of this course is in the dairy shed.

Bovine Foundation Course
This course will teach you the method, to use yourself, that reduces impact pressure into the pelvis of the cow. Impacts into the pelvis happen on a regular basis and by keeping this pressure to an optimum, blood flow into the pelvis is correct.
The benefits of knowing this method may improve
* Quieter stock
* Tighter calving patterns due to increased blood supply into the uterus
* Reduced calving difficulties
* Less mastitis as blood flow fights infection
* An increase in milk production
These are half day courses, 10.00 till 15.00, and are foundation level. They highlight the uniqueness of the bovine and the farming environment.

This course is available year round and held on your farm, with your cows and at your convenience.
Cost $250 ( plus $100 per additional person, up to a max. of 3) +GST. (Travel negotiable)

Drystock Farm Training
This course is designed for Young Stock, Cattle, Sheep, Goats and working dogs. The day is designed to teach you a method to help maintain the health of the animals on your farm. The course runs from 10 - 4. This is a foundation level course that may improve the following

* Lameness/ stone bruises
* Calving or lamming difficulties

Bovine Practitioner Skills
This is a 1 day course designed for Practitioners and Students of ConTact C.A.R.E who have completed a Foundation level course and are familiar with the method. It outlines the uniqueness of the bovine as well as the farming environment. The course runs from 9.00 till 15.00. Participants need to bring suitable wet weather clothing and gumboots.
