★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is not your regular takeaways shop. The fish and oysters (Man! I should have tripled my order!) are excellent and fresh. The staff are helpful and friendly and they bring in extra manpower when the queue gets long and keen for their fix. Very professional. The shoestring chips are a delight. The aioli fish burger does not disappoint. Adding the hashbrown in there was just genius. The whopper burger was very aptly named—I was totally debilitated by the generous portions of meat.
But get this: they also sell smoked fish, fresh fish, and ceviche. I tried the ceviche (labelled as fresh raw fish or something like that that doesn’t do it justice) and I was brought back to warm lovely days on tropical beaches. Their version has onions and tomatoes and citrus juices and coconut milk. They should totally market that stuff because it’s just great. (Note: I’m not an animal. This review covers more than one visit to this place. ?)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Placed a phone order for my food at 6pm was told it would be 20min. I went down and waited patently as I could see how it was busy they can understand that things take longer than normal sometimes. I finally got fed up with waiting at 7pm and asked how long it would be. They lady told me they forgot to cook it. No apology or anything and said it would take another 20 as there was other orders that needed to be cooked first. Shocking service and no apology I will never return

You don’t see the big portion of fish and chips in other big cities.
4 star because of the food portion and fresh fish and not 5 because the food was quite oily.
