Saw her curse out a woman who was unhappy that they gave her order away. Told her to eff off and get out of the shop when she very fairly asked for a refund. Appalling, will not be returning

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Witnessed the owner of this shop abuse a customer who simply asked for a refund for an order that had been given to someone else. The customer was nothing but polite but the owner swore at the customer and it was quite frankly frightening. Disgusting behaviour owner or not.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service, always. Very busy this time of year, especially on the weekends. Best to phone your order in as maintaining safe distancing is nigh on impossible. My meal of crumbed snapper, seasoned wedges and prawn cutlets was really good. New owners continue to provide good, friendly service and food. Thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place was very busy and quality was obviously effected. I watched them pull my snapper out the fryer realise some batter had broken, so double dipped the batter and started again. The result was undercooked batter and overcooked fish which broke into two pieces. The garlic fries where normal fries smoothered in a cheap vegetable spread heavily laden with garlic for an extra $2. Not the best money ever spent. Had potential but quality let it down

Waited an hour to receive the wrong order, was told it would be another 1/2 hour to make the egg burgers in the dinner for two meal deal we ordered instead of the fish burgers we got so decided to eat them. However The fish was undercooked and the batter was very soggy. We ended up throwing it all out After a few bites. The best part of the meal was the pre packed chocolate fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best fish and chips I've had (can't say if it's the best in Whitianga but it's got to be up there). Lightly crisp batter with fresh tender fish, perfectly cooked chips. Walk your meal to the beach for a classic Kiwi experience.
