★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok supermarket, which is well presented. Plenty of car parking and centrally located in Rangiora. Countdown has a good variety of products. Reasonably priced with most of products that you will need. Good customer service at the check outs and reasonably easy to find assistance if you need help. This supermarket is an ok place to get what you need. Nothing brilliant stands out about this Countdown apart from it's a quite new building, so it is has a very good layout inside and outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there twice, first time couldn't get lemons (in January? Went to a friend's and burgled her well stocked lemon tree). Second time got charged for a loaf of bread I never purchased. Definitely expensive compared to packnsave down the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible experience on Saturday night, very busy time of the night and they are extremely understaffing the checkouts, poor checkout lady had to deal with frustrated customers all alone while Anothy sat back and was doing nothing. Very horrible to put all the pressure on one young lady.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ended up self checking out our weekly shop as the only cash aisle was very busy. The only other check out available was empty but didn't accept cash. There were four other staff standing around the lotto counter chatting. When I queried why we couldn't use cash in the empty check out , was quite rudely told its just the way it is and it's because of covid. Seriously!!
