★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Considering it was Christmas Day we found the facilities acceptable, but could have had some maintenance ahead of the rush; mainly the toilets, although not too bad. The grounds were beautiful and the beach stunning. Parking always an issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Park is okay for younger kids, but there is a flying fox for the slightly older. We bring our kids here to go to the beach which has access down the hill on the West side of the car park. Beach is usually quite warm with a pontoon not far off the shoreline for jumping of off into the water. Recommend bringing your own shade in summer as most shaded spots tend to be occupied by day-stayers. Water is quite salty and looks rather murky but nonetheless a great swimming spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of space but limited carparks. Beautiful views to the harbour Bridge. Park is great with lots of flat areas for picnics and marquees, the only thing is that you have to go down steep path to swimming beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and spacious park with gorgeous waterfront views and beautiful big trees. Lots of room to play games, picnic or soak in the scenery. Café nearby too. A great destination for a weekend walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One amazing place for anything to do with kiddos. Be ready to spend at least couple of hours here, playing on playground, exploring hidden spots of the park (beach included) and enjoying spectacular views of Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great park with lots of space and equipment for kids to play on.
Good - spacious, lots of greens, trees and shade, it’s close to the beach and there are cafes close by. Bathrooms and changing rooms are also available which is good. You can get to the beach and some nice fishing spots through the north end of the park.
Bad - parking, while free, is very hard to find in a busy weekend. Equipment is getting very dated, Could do with an update.
Great place to picnic and relax!
