★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice reserve but lots of folks refer to this place as The sign of the Takahe rather than Cracroft Reserve! There's 2 lookouts but the first is useless as it's completely obstructed by bushes. The 2nd lookout gives extensive views of Christchurch. My photos don't do it justice as it was a rather cloudy day.

Hard to catch in camera and hard to explain in words.
You can only appreciate the beauty of this place by coming for a walk or a drive and climb on this spot to enjoy pleasant breath taking views.
Once you get on this view spot, you can actually take 360 degree videos or pictures (attached few clips and pictures for your reference).
Highly recommended to visit this place in Christchurch.
