Slow service due to larger than normal crowd but couldnt fault them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son and I had lunch here and I loved the fish of the day with young potatoes and sweet peas. I have tried his omelet, and it was fluffy and tasty too. Generous pub portions good for extra long lunches or sharing. Good atmosphere, good prices and a TV is going. The staff are well presented and have good smiles. The location is in town and easy to spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I went to crowded house for lunch today. We were given menus and asked to take a seat. There was a large group already seated near by. We waited for twenty minutes, the large group were seen the times by staff, and then left. No one asked if we wanted a drink or whether we were ready to order. Very disappointed today.

We got our meal in good time but no cutlery to eat it with, and after we had finished the plates were whisked off the table without a word. Light meals as well as steak chicken etc. Yummy looking range of desserts. Tables well sited for privacy, interesting decor, comfy seat. Nice suggestion by waitress for drink. Looks like they have different themes and specials every night of the week. Wish I lived in New Plymouth to visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went today and no one in our party had our vaccine passes or IDs checked. It took 30 mins for our order to be taken just for the lady to come back 5 minutes later to tell us the kitchen is closed. On top of that the lady who served us looked like she didn’t want to be there and made us feel not welcome. Wouldn’t recommend. Ended up going to The Good Home down the street & received amazing service and beautiful meals there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice atmosphere. Waitress was friendly. We ordered some beef steaks. They were all cooked very well. Only the sauce were a bit salty to us. Except that, we were happy and enjoy our dinner here.
