β β β β β We were on the Island for work and visited your establishment on Sunday 1st August. Turned out they had a comedy night on, haven't laughed so hard in ages. But have to say the service was great, very friendly atmosphere, the food is simple but very tasty. I had a steak, one of the best I've ever had that I hadn't had to cook myself. Great work team, looking forward to taking my wife over to stay with you guys soon.

β β β β β We spent a weekend at the Curragh during winter time - it was amazing! Our rooms was cosy and offered everything we needed. Our dinner was fabulous both nights - the special was lamb shank with cabbage and mash - to die for - and the stone oven pizzas were a delight. The lovely owner told us that her chef trained under Jamie Oliver - no wonder! We had great live music, too. If you are looking for the best pint of Guinness out of Ireland - go to Curragh on Great Barrier Island. SlΓ‘inte

β β β β β Very expensive. My meal was dreadful. Our group all complained of excessive salt and half didn't finish their food. We did mention this at the time and were assured the feedback was useful. However, as there was no alternative, we had to dine here a second time later in the week and unfortunately had the same experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the Great Barrier experience

β β β β β Stayed here at the Currach over the Xmas holidays- absolutely blissful!
The accommodation was delightful, and the pub was friendly with top class meals! Was lucky enough to be there on Sunday for a hilarious comedy night!
Thanks Orla & team.

β β β β β This place is amazing. Good beer on tap and great selection of wine. We stayed nearby for multiple nights and ate a large portion of the menu. The chef is amazing (and all the staff). Hereβs the best part - order the meal with the Creamed smoked parsnip, he smokes it with Manuka and holy moly itβs easily the best tasting food Iβve ever tasted (and I love strong and exotic flavours), the steak was incredible too, but never have I tried a vegetable that tasted so good. I think I had some tears of joy as I ate it, I seriously cannot begin to explain how yum it is. In case I didnβt make it clear, order the meal with the parsnip.
