โ โ โ โ โ An Irish pub blasting out hip hop at 11 am. Guinness was well poured, and the service was good. Facilities have seen better times, and not all in the traditional well lived Irish pub way.
But, I've been in much worse bars

โ โ โ โ โ This old, authentic Irish pub is a great place to have a Guinness on tap, far superior to bottled Guinness. We didn't try the food, but it looks like a great place to try one of those big Irish Breakfasts.

โ โ โ โ โ A pretty dark and compact pub. The bar area is small, the seating is fairly limited and the lighting is almost suspiciously dim.
Prices (like Auckland CBD at large) are expensive for what you might get elsewhere, with the best offer being Heineken bottles for $5.00 NZ.
The men's bathroom is very compact and needs an overhaul. Finally, this is not really a pub you get dressed up for.

โ โ โ โ โ Lively in the evening. Food coming out of the kitchen looked good. Mixed crowd from old Irish men yelling over a game of pool to young travellers. There was a fantastic musician playing Monday night! The bloke was Irish and played a flute, a pipe, drum, guitar, and sang a bunch of Irish songs. It was fantastic!

โ โ โ โ โ What can you say? This is the original Irish Pub in Auckland and has an ambience that is unbeaten, when this place is packed out and you have a good crowd, nothing beats it! Amazing value and just a really great place, especially on a night where there is live music!

โ โ โ โ โ Best bar ever! James/Podge is incredible and so are the rest of the team! ?? They are friendly, funny, & easy to get on with! Great drinks, fun atmosphere, superb location! I am also extremely grateful to the wonderful securities, especially Liva, who have always made sure I got home safe & sound! ?? Definitely recommend this place, especially for other young women - you will be safe & have a great time here!
