★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best pub food in Auckland. Never disappointed with any of the choices. Always wins awards for lamb and beef. Went again this wet weekend and had the beef Wellington and partner had the pasta. Large serving, pasta was the best she has had. Not bad for an Irish pub. Service is great, lots of Irish voices at the tables, and no tacky Irish decorations like the franchise pubs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came her Friday after work for few drinks & dinner. Got light menu, lamb pie & mash potatoes for $17.50. Good value for $$, couldn't finish it! Great, friendly warm staff, and the live music from Gerry was great. I'd go back :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stumbled across this pub while exploring the neighborhood in 2019. Atmosphere looked great so I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered a Guinness. A group was seated at large table and played various instruments and sang random songs. It was a fantastic experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter’s 21st was held there. My daughter put a $200 deposit down. It Became apparent afterwards that the manager had no intention of paying the $200 back. She repeatedly stated “she would speak to the Owner about getting the $200 deposit back.” I felt sorry for the business as they have been having a lack of customers Since Covid restrictions however it does not improve business when an attitude like I received with my dealings with the manager exists in any business.There is always time to grow and improve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little pub with a decent pint of Guinness. Friendly welcoming staff.
Food, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Sausages were overcooked and very, very dry. Fish while obviously fresh, was also overdone too by a few minutes. Not saying food was horrible, but could have been so much nicer.
Molten chocolate pudding, though was very nice ? Just a shame about the mains...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible place to host 21st.. couldn’t connect laptop with slideshow.. microphone did not work for speeches.. music was on and off the whole time as chord was broken and forgot to bring out the cake until very late and did not get my $200 bond return back.. very upsetting night as I just wanted a nice 21st with my friends but was stressful instead

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place doesn't get the recognition it deserves. It's one of the few 'pub' pubs in Auckland, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, amazing staff, passionate owners, and a really good pub menu. The food's all home made, and the pies and burgers are particularly good.
It's not a gimmicky Irish pub, it's a proper one. And it pours a mean Guinness!
There's a wide selection of drinks, from craft beer to standard lagers, wine and spirits. They also have a good repertoire of events, like live music (outside of red-level restrictions), darts competitions, and sports events. There's also a pool table and juke box upstairs.
