About Dentist @ Parkside
Taryn graduated from the University of Otago in 2017 and has been practising general dentistry in Whanganui since. She was brought up in a multicultural society in Malaysia and is fluent in English and Mandarin. Taryn is passionate about her work in all aspects of dentistry. She strives to provide the best care that she can by helping people to explore and achieve their oral health goals and creating smiles. She believes that dentistry should be painless and always goes an extra mile to make people feel at ease and comfortable during their dental visits. Over the past few years of practice, Taryn has continued to devote her time to attending extra courses and training to keep up with her goal of delivering high quality, modern dentistry. When Taryn is not at work, she spends time building fitness, getting outdoors, and exploring the world.

I felt comfortable & the staff friendly & very helpful. Also I thought the price was reasonable compared to Auckland prices. ?

It wasn't easy to choose a dental clinic - I had no experience with NZ dental surgeries and was a little worried about the quality of care I would receive. I'm really glad I finally chose this place! It was easy to book the appointment via phone call (which may be important for other foreigners who are insecure about their English). The dentist was very professional and friendly at the same time, and explained everything well. Her assistant and receptionist were also super nice and understanding. It has been only a week since my visit so I cannot tell whether all the troubles are gone or how long the new filling would last, but my impression was that a precise, highly profesional work had been done, and despite the sensitivity of my tooth (which I was advised of) it feels right. Compared to other places I considered, the prices seem very reasonable, too.
I can highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rung this morning to see if they could fit me in some time as i had a really sore tooth. They fitted me in this morning because of a cancelled appointment. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Brian was the dentist that helped me today and he was fantastic very professional, but also very kind and understanding. i am normally quiet nervous about the dentist but he was great at making me feel relaxed and calm. I had two fillings, with very little pain and I left feeling great.

With this in mind, i can say without a doubt that Dr. Taryn is one of the best i've ever seen. She is kind, patient and has a fantastic way of making sure her patients are always happy and comfortable. As much as i would love to keep Parkside Dental all to myself, i simply cannot recommend this place more. I will most definitely be back

I think this would be a great practice for anyone who is afraid of the dentist as they are so reassuring and sensitive to thier patients. I also felt the price was very reasonable!
