About Napier Dental Practice | Lumino The Dentists
Gwyn graduated from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in 2001 with a BDS with Commendation.
She has invaluable experience in all areas of dentistry, having worked in both private practice and the hospital service in the UK, where she administered and treated patients under sedation. Gwyn enjoys helping anxious patients and keeps up to date with evidence based dentistry.
Away from the practice Gwyn is an avid cyclist and enjoys exploring the trails in Hawkes Bay. She emigrated from Scotland to New Zealand with her husband Dave (who is also a dentist at Lumino Napier) in 2014 and their two young children. They are all thoroughly enjoying all New Zealand has to offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So i came here experiencing very sensitive molar tooth (hadn't been able to eat on one side for 4 months and had tried sensetive Toothpaste which didn't work) so I came here. A lovely calm and professional environment as you walk in. The male dentist did an x-ray on my teeth and explained I would need root canal. Also gave the option of going to an expert for the root canal so I knew all my options, however I decided to get it done here. Two appointments later and I have had the root canal completed and I feel zero sensetivity now. I can eat properly again and don't have to worry about anything. Fantastic service and I can highly recommend coming here, im used to the NHS of England Dentists and I'm incredibly happy i paid private instead. Thank you ?

I was a bit anxious as I had not been to a Dentist in 10 years due to two bad experiences, but a friend had highly recommended David. David and his assistant were very professional and I felt confident in the outcome. He explained everything as the appointment progressed and then went through the treatment plan (just a couple of fillings, yay!). I would not hesitate to recommend Lumino Napier, fantastic all round.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From the U.K and had to go to the dentist after over a year when I broke part of my tooth in NZ and the team are so friendly here including Sarah at reception and very welcoming! Gwyn and Jan were excellent and exceptionally knowledgeable about treatments and explaining everything with a great standard of care, will be my regular now and cannot recommend this dental practice enough!!
