★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an excellent bookshop!! So many great books to choose from. Organised and tidy with room to linger and browse. Family friendly! Just spent the most relaxing morning there with our 9 month old and 3 year old. The owner was polite, helpful and friendly while leaving us to our pondering. A table with toys was available for our toddler and the owner was relaxed and happy for our toddler to play, move books, stack books and browse in her happy way. We were offered a coffee when he was making some for himself. Couldn't recommend it enough. We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DSHOB is located next door to the Vet Clinic at the Waterloo Shops, opposite the Waterloo Station in Lower Hutt and is full of surprises. Their window display is delightfully entertaining with all kinds of quirky souvenirs. There are no shortage of books especially if you're hunting for older relics, so try here as it may not have been so picked over compared to other secondhand bookstores elsewhere.
If you are an Everly Brothers diehard fan (the remaining brother having passed away just recently, age 86) you should check out HOB's window display as there is currently a neat little souvenir that may pique your interest...which is so cool to see!
