About Devon & Patterson Flooring Outlet Store
The day to day business flourished but we found there was a strong market for carpet and vinyl short ends and roll stock of both carpets and vinyls, including quality carpet seconds. So in 2004 we opened our warehouse outlet division. The speed in which this business has grown confirmed the need for a discount flooring warehouse in north Wellington selling quality discounted carpet and vinyl in top fashion colours. This store was managed by our daughter Rachel (Patterson) Alderson.
As business has continued to grow we have expanded our team of sales people and have been needing to look for larger premises. We found a fantastic showroom and warehouse in Kenepuru Drive (right next to Moore Wilsons). We have been able to combine our Johnsonville and Tawa stores together which has increased our efficiency. We have seen a need for extended Saturday hours and having the team working together has made that possible. We have plenty of parking and a wonderful kids area with a TV, comfy cushions and blocks.
Today, Malcolm Patterson and the Patterson family Gail Patterson, Nathan Patterson, Rebekah Patterson, Rachel Alderson (Patterson) and James Alderson along with our great team of experienced salesmen and women still pride ourselves with providing a fantastic service and great pricing to our customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think we just got unlucky with the contractors they used to do the install. There were a few issues that had to be fixed like wrinkling in the hallway, carpet not properly secure in wardrobe, skirting boards cracked and freshly painted walls dented (could have been our old skirting boards not handling it well and the dents are unavoidable in some areas) and a hard lump in the living room carpet which turned out to be glue that had come through the join (this was fixed with a patch which we are now nervously waiting to blend into the rest of the room). The Devon and Patterson team have been really helpful but overall not an easy or stress free experience.
