The vehicle arrived, we assessed it, due to the condition, history and unqualified work that had been done after a recent engine failure, decided we did not want our company name associated with a job of this nature.
It would have potentially wasted a lot of our time, and the customers money.
When the customer collected the vehicle, we explained in details to him why we didn't want to take the job on, what we felt the problem might be and how he would go about fixing it.
We didn't charge the customer a cent for our time or the free advice.
Im sorry but we don't have the time to try and sort out handy man projects that you have lost control of.
If you are going to review us, review our actual work, not the jobs we turn away.

β β β β β I called up, spoke to Marty on the Phone, told him about the diesel knock and what state my van was in. which I made very clear as I didn't want to waste mine nor his time. He Assured me that they could fix it, and had 20+ years experience with engines the same as mine. So, after his assurance i organised to have my van towed to Penrose. Once we got there, I took the van off the trailer and parked it outside. I had to ask for someone to have a look before i left to make sure everything was understood. (no one looked interested to help out at all) Someone had a quick look then we left, thinking the next time i hear from them it's going to be them telling me they've fixed it. 3-4 days go by so I decide to give them a call. Much to my disappointment they hadn't even touched it, they took one quick look and that was it. I got told they didn't want to take on the job because there could be to many things wrong with it and it could take them too long to figure out. Keep in mind that I described in detail what condition my vehicle was in. I didn't argue, I was absolutely gutted after putting so much faith in them. So me and my boss took another half day off work and picked it up. Nobody wanted to give any helpful advice even after all our wasted time, there was no sympathy. So don't be so convinced with their cunning adds or words over the phone.. I would never recommend Diesel Services to anyone.

β β β β β Took in my 2007 2 liter diesel/turbo a few years back (I'm writing this review now as it still really frustrates me) as I had a faint knock in the engine. They booked it in and all the rest of the talk. The only thing they did was put it through their diagnostic check. Their conclusion was to tell me that I had a fault with my engine (which I already knew about hence booking with them in the first place). They said they only do transmissions, wouldn't attempt to fix it, and handed me a bill for $280-ish bucks. I should never have paid. Utter waste of time and money. Take your vehicle somewhere else.

β β β β β Marty & Josh went beyond what was hoped for and carried out an overhaul and supplied parts etc. at very reasonable rates as soon as they could after going from Covid 4 to 3. Great service, excellent communication and friendly, what more could one ask for ? !!

β β β β β We had a problem with our caravan diesel heater and tried to get the dealer to fix it but I couldnβt make it fail while they were watching. After a winter with a heater that kept turning off I took it to Marty at Diesel Services in Penrose and they ran diagnostics but the fault didnβt show. Rather than send me home they changed the most likely component to have the problem. This didnβt fix the problem but eliminated that part from the equation. I went back and they put my original part back in and changed the next most likely part (and the most expensive). After a week of testing with no problems we headed off for winter and havenβt had a problem since. The manufacturer has honoured the warranty and we are very pleased to have a great diesel heater keeping us warm all winter.
Marty and his team went out of their way to make sure we made progress at every step of the way and I highly recommend them. They know their stuff and communicate well at every step of the process. No surprises.
