★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would not recommend this service to anyone!! Not only did Dr Diesel fail to find the fault in our van which ended up being a $20 part (found by another mechanic) after spending $5000 we gave up and took it to another mechanic.
We have owners and operated a freight company for over 18yrs and we have small vehicles to large trucks.
Then upon purchasing another vehicle we were informed that the fuel filter, oil filter and sir filter were all replaced with new filters. Only today were we informed that this was not so! Not only were they old but they were dirty and had not been touched since the last service well over a yr ago! (we got a service don today from a reliable mechanic) So $147 later we now have new filters no thanks to DR Diesel.
WOULD NEVER EVER TAKE ANY OF OUR VEHICLES OR TRUCK TO DR DIESEL.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have used Dr Diesel to look after my two business vehicles for around 5 years now and I cannot recommend them enough.
They are prompt, reliable, trustworthy and their workmanship has been great. Chris the owner is also very knowledgeable and very friendly. While they are not the cheapest mechanics I would say that they give good value for money.
I highly recommend Chris and his team at Dr Diesel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the doctor didnt fix it, replaced turbo and checked the computer but didnt check fuel system becuase they werent set up for it and they send all the parts out to get fixed anyway. felt like there was a lack of effort but to be fair it was a quick squeeze in job and i appreciated that. have to take it to someone else now for them to find out whats wrong with it

Hyundai nz say I can buy actuator separately cost for part $680.
Don't lie to your customers. Bad bad bad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my car in for a diagnostic, cost me $450 for them to diagnose a faulty sensor. The reason for the high price was pulling panels and looking at all electronics for any problems instead of looking at sensors first, which seems to be the normal port of call for these problems. Got them to do a coolant system leak test and combustion chamber leak test which they claimed both were good. The system was not good after running the same tests by another mechanic.
