Awesome plays. Great feeling and a hearty, warm welcome. We drive down from Kumeu to watch. Yes, it's different to a big production at the Civic, but it's more personal and intimate.

You simply have to take your hat off to anyone who has the guts to get up on stage and perform. Death and Taxes, the latest production atvthe Dolphin Theatre was funny and cleverly presented. The theatre itself is well managed by a volunteer staff who do a wonderful job. Well worth supporting.

Love supporting theatre especially local theatre. Plays are hit and miss. Been once before and loved it. Went last night, the worst play I've been to. The script & characters needed work. Some of the characters and their lines were a total snore.? The staff/volunteers on both occasions are not friendly, don't create a welcoming atmosphere and especially don't encourage paying customers to come back with their unfriendly attitudes. If they got a few basics right, this place would be way better.

Nice wee community theatre with a surprisingly modern setup. Shows can vary a bit, but this is a proper grassroots community theatre, and when they're good, they're great! If you're reading a review on google, you're probably younger than their average audience - but don't let that worry you. Relax, enjoy the free tea, coffee, and biscuits at half time, and chat with people with years of theatre and arts experience. Get involved! They always need new bodies, and you as audience, cast, or crew keep community theatre alive and gets people out from their netflix screens!

Had the pleasure of seeing 'Hanna' with a strong performance by Cassandra Woodhouse. No gimmicks, costumes or fluff. Just a great story being well told under the direction of Jennifer Ward-Lealand. It felt Kiwi. I was surprised when it was over. 1.5hrs gone in 30mins...or so it seemed. This is my first visit to a suburban theatre and it won't be the last. Tonight's show was a gem and I got to see it on opening night. Dolphin Theatre is a great venue with friendly frontline staff that made me feel welcome. An excellent night.
