The job was slightly different in that the timber windows has to be removed from site, rebated, double glazed. refitted with new hardware and a gasket strip set into all the frames. The job was done in stages with temporary glass installed. They completed within time allocated, while staying within budget. They certainly are a family business and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have used Double Glazing United to double glaze the windows in our old character home. This has included double hung windows, and Wilson has worked with us to modify the pull cord counter weights to retain the original look, they now all raise and lower very smoothly and easily. While our windows were removed his friendly team fitted replacement glass which kept our home secure and weathertight. Each of the 3 stages has been done in the agreed time frames at the quoted rate, we are very pleased with their workmanship and the resulting improvements. We would recommend Double Glazing United to anyone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the quality of the double glaze which has resulted in a pleasing look whilst keeping my home warm and heating costs down. The windows were hung to push out from the bottom. The ventilation in hot weather is much improved, the rooms are cooler. And the rain doesn’t get in. Very happy.
The installers were very cheerful guys, professional and easy to have in the house.

We are especially pleased with the led light restoration and the way decorative features like the colonial bars could be kept while making a 1940’s bungalow cozy.
