★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I agree with the post below regarding my hair colour experience. I hate leaving negative feedback because I understand how hard it can be to get the right colour but the colourists really need a lot more training before being allowed to work on paying clients hair. Had a great experience with cut and styling previously but now have to pay to get my colour fixed at another salon and my hair is so damaged. The girl was lovely though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an appointment with Heather for Hair and Make-up for my Baby Shower. She was AMAZING. I was really short for time and she just made it work, did my make up exactly how I wanted (Natural) & was very professional and friendly. Highly recommend Heather!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As always dry and tea is a great experience. Trendy staff and setup. Our group of 5 headed there for hair and makeup for a bridal shower. Lovely hair ups. Book ahead because it gets busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've had some good experiences here before but unfortunately the most recent time wasn't so great. I showed pictures of what I wanted and clearly stated that I wanted a natural look- not too bleached.
I knew something was wrong right away when the hairdresser spent an excessive amount of time fiddling over one patch of hair at the front of my head, which has been bleached white, and as shown in pictures, i've ended up with a huge, near white streak at the back of my head too (my friends call it my badger stripe) and I can't wear my hair up high because it looks so terrible.
After I left the salon I had purple hair that lasted for about a week and I called up about a week following once my hair had gone back to a normal colour to ask if they could do something about it. I was booked in for about a month later to get the problem fixed, I am at uni out of Auckland so had to wait until I was back in the city.
A couple weeks after this booking was made I got a call saying it wasn't possible as they would only fix hair within about a week of it being done and offered $50 off to come in and get it re-dyed. This policy is fair enough, but it should have been told to me right away instead of getting my hopes up only to cancel weeks later. The simple fact that such a bad job was done in the first place is the real issue though - i felt that no care was taken and now am stuck with this embarrassment until I can justify the cost of dying it again. No salon with such a good reputation should leave hair in a state like this, all their other services are usually fantastic but i'd be careful if booking a dye job!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always reliable for a nice blow out when you’ve got an event to go to or headshot to be taken. I visited during Red, so no tea. They usually have a lovely range to choose from.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointing. Booked for a blow wave. Was sat down by the stylist and asked what I wanted. I explained I wanted curls. He washed my hair. Didn’t use enough conditioner. Told me my hair is dry (it’s not). Pulled half of it while combing it (heard of a tangle tweezer?) he proceeded to blow dry it straight (not curly) and used his fingers to pull apart the knots rather than a comb. He then used a wide hair straightener to do the curls and set with a soft hair spray. These curls had dropped by the time I had got home. So I had to redo the curls myself at home. Wasn’t very friendly or interested in doing a good job. You get what you pay for here. Spend the money on some curlers and do it yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Result in the end was fine (hair up for a special occasion) but sadly was made to wait half an hour for my appointment with no apology and still charged full amount (I had even checked I had the right time booked in as i sat there.. and sat there…..), didn’t look to be a busy day in salon either as it was a bank holiday weekend. Hair was pinned up in a rush in the end, i was happy with it but just really because I had to leg it out of there in a hurry! If I had been made aware the hairdresser was running late and they had checked in on me to make sure this was ok and given a discount or something as an apology I would of been giving a different review!
