Die Architektur im Queen-Anne-Stil ist dem Gebäude des Londoner Scotland Yard (heute Norman Shaw Buildings) nachempfunden. Die dunklen Steine sind Brekzien, die hellen sind Kalksteine (beides aus dem Norden von Dunedin).
 The Dunedin Law Courts were designed by John Campbell and opened in 1902. The building contains four courtrooms - especially the High Court is richly decorated - as well as Law Society offices and library.
The Queen Anne style architecture is modeled after the London Scotland Yard (now Norman Shaw Buildings) building. The dark stones are breccia, the light ones are limestones (both from the north of Dunedin).
