★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chips were nice but ordered a falafel souvlaki which was disgusting.. Definitely not falafel more like the mix the add into meat patties. Only had lettuce and mayo in it for $12. Wont be going back the taste is repeating on me 4 hours later

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is hands down the best fish and chips in Christchurch. I have done the research for you. No need to keep looking. The chips are amazing, always perfectly cooked. The fish is fresh and their regular fish (Ling) is very good. Great burgers also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Edgware Takeaways, take aways my heart more like it! I've lived all over the country and sampled some of the most reputable f n cs, the ones that people say are the best in the country, Auckland, Ham, Wellington... but those all lack the quality and selection that Edgware serves up. You've got the classic fried menu, classic, but the portions are about twice as big! I'm not kidding aye, get the fish, they're monsters! They do a mean curry spring roll fyi. The burgers are massive too, awesome selection, the fella in there will custom it out too if you ask. But the crowning jewel of this place are the souvlakis. They're so good aye, should be serving them in a full on Greek restaurant... I sometimes wake up at night in a cold sweat and shaking if I haven't had a large, with extra lamb in a few days. Best chippa in NZ in my opinion and from my experience. Also really clean with good in door and outdoor seating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the first time I had been to Edgeware Takeaways and I was suitably impressed. The place was clean and tidy and staff were very efficient at their tasks.
I only ordered some chips but as you can they were really very, very good. I intend to go back there and try some other choices from their menu and I am sure it will be very good. By the way parking is on the street but normally an issue.
