★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just stayed 2 nights and what a great place? rooms are functional and comfortable. Food in the restaurant even so the menu is small the standard and quality is outstanding and the staff are very knowledgeable about the food and wine list. Special thumbs up ? for Anna you will go a long way in the hospitality industry if you so desire.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We both walked the famous track along the Lake. An sign from Edgewater Hotel invites people to come in for a coffee. What we did. Even we did this in the past. Years ago. This time we served us self with a bottle of water after waiting for more than 10 minutes. After 20 minutes we both maked the decision to go. Back to the track along the Lake. We turned our faces to the entrance and we saw 2 young ladies smiling at us with their masks up. We both didn't where masks in the environment were we were at that moment. We were the only couple who was sitting outside.
FEAR is an Huge Problem in New Zealand.
Kind regards

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The room felt a bit dated. Our room was right on the ground floor by the restaurant, so there were SO many people that walked past our room and looked in plus you had all the noise from people outside talking. We couldn't sit outside or in the lounge, without people looking at what we were doing, so we had to keep the curtains pulled. There was very little privacy, and you could hear the people walking above us. There was no air conditioning, but with our door open we could hear all the noise from the bar, but it was too stuffy with it closed. We stayed in a hotel in Queenstown for a similar price, that was so beautiful and quiet and private, so it was just pretty disappointing for the price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean room with great amenities, and an amazing view. Very near the town centre. Only inconvenience is that if your room is on the first floor (as opposed to GROUND floor), so you'll have to lug your heavy luggages up for the latter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2 of the 8 enjoyed their meals. $40 Steak was more like a minute steak. My lamb was completely overwhelmed but the Jus and overcooked. 3 meals of pork; very different in quality needed consistency. Staff handed food to the top people who then had to hand down the table rather than serving each person. Bar lady was a delight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately our experience was completely underwhelming at a place that positions itself as a highly rated ‘resort’.
- Room was freezing when we arrived and they knew we have an infant
- No cooked breakfast options in the restaurant
- Water system was incredibly loud in the room which woke the baby and meant we couldn’t use water at all while she was sleeping
This isn’t a place we will be coming back to as in their price range you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a two night stay here.
Location is a little ways off town central but nothing you can’t fix with a car. 5 minutes to the town centre and back.
Rooms were big, relatively clean and had all the necessary comforts for a hotel room. We chose no service for the 2 nights and received an eco voucher for 2 free drinks from the bar.
The breakfast location and private lake access is a highlight which elevates the experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The "welcome " from the guy on reception was underwhelming he couldn't even raise a smile. The room while comfortable enough left nothing to the imagination when the guests upstairs used their toilet! Bathroom needs upgrading, shower over bath OK but hand basin very crazed.
The restaurant staff were great. The two servers were rushed off their feet but my dinner was great Young lady on check out very pleasant.
