★ ★ ★ ★ ★ asked for rib eye steak , young assistant looked at the owner [ I am sure the they both knew that did not have any in stock] then the owner pointed to something that was $46/kg, told the assistant to sell that to me that, paid a fortune for whatever it was [it certainly wasn't ribeye, as no flavour, no fat marbling, tuff as] feel totally ripped off. Why the shop owner could not just say - sorry no ribeye ,but we have this instead I don't know. I will not shop at Ellerslie Meats again. I would suggest go across the road buy a pie, purchase your meat anywhere but this place. I have no issue with paying for quality product but paying high price for low quality is not acceptable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was decent. Beware the kebabs get soggy and it drips onto you (had to experience it dripping onto my pants). However the beef was cooked nicely. Only downside was the woman we encountered there, she was very rude, but luckily the owner/manager is very kind and sorted things out easily. He was very professional. Would recommend for the owner and food. Beware staff can be trashy and rude.

The Chicken Souvalaki Salad with garlic yoghurt and hot chilli is a favourite - unlike a lot of kebab shops the chicken at Royals is marinated breast, cooked to order - fresh, healthy and delicious!
The recent addition of wood fire pizzas means Royals is a now firm family favourite Of ours with something for everyone, even fussy little eaters who can’t get enough of the Hawaiian pizza.
Great for a casual dinner out or takeaway, highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Johnny sold me some heritage breed eggs for hatching. Two out of 12 hatched, and they're the wrong breed/colour from what was ordered. I found out later that a lot of people who have ordered from him/Almond Valley checked for fertility and found that the eggs were rotten on pick up/delivery and others have also been given the wrong breed so he's just conning people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow such an amazing butcher. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The best meat we have had to this day. We will for sure go to this butcher again. Their sausages are to die for.
